Energy storage protection

The development of renewable energy has led to the development of batteries that store this energy. Unfortunately, this brings with it many new fire hazards that can cause enormous material losses.

AFFS Sp. z o.o., in response to the demand for fire safety systems, has developed a platform of solutions for the protection of energy storage facilities.

Our safety solutions are based on early smoke detection, thermal detection, OFF GAS detection, inertisation systems, gas extinguishing systems and water mist. These systems work together with the BMS (Battery Management System), which manages the operation of energy storage facilities.

The solutions require an individual approach for each project, as energy storage facilities have different designs, different energy storage capacities, use different types of batteries, etc.

Our solutions comply with the draft Regulation of the Minister of Development and Technology of 9 June 2025 on the technical conditions to be met by buildings and their location.
