VESDA - Early Smoke Detection System

For the protection of buildings and premises with increased security requirements and equipment of special value serves the VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) Suction Smoke Detection System.

The system, by sucking in air from the monitored area and its instant and precise analysis, makes it possible to detect a fire at its earliest stage, even when the smoke is still invisible to the eye.

The VESDA system is built from a network of suction tubes and a detector with a laser head with a sensitivity range of 0.005%/m to 20%/m (conventional point detectors have an average sensitivity range of about 5%/m).

The purpose of the tubes is to continuously draw air from the protected area, which can be either the interior of a room, sub-floor space, inter-ceiling space or a single device such as a server, telephone exchange, air conditioner, etc.

Four programmable alarm thresholds ensure rapid detection of smoke regardless of the conditions in the protected area.

Its additional advantage is the positive assessment issued by insurance companies TUiR WARTA and ZURICH, which recommend "the use of the system especially for fire protection of large server rooms, archives, telecommunications exchanges, control rooms, cable tunnels, tanks of loose materials, warehouses with high fire load and other objects of particular importance for maintaining the continuity of important processes for our clients."
